I am pretty sure (If I am remembering right) that the quilt I did for Hot Springs National Park was the 7th quilt I've made. Here are some pictures of two other quilts I did last fall for a show called "Famous Fictional" at Mad Art Gallery, here in St. Louis. The show's theme is always fictional characters, and last year it was specifically Friends and Foes. We chose one famous fictional character and did two pieces of art, one of the character's friend and one of the character's foe. I chose Captain Ahab from Moby Dick, so we have one quilt of his friend the Ship (arguably his only friend) and one of his foe, Moby Dick himself. The quilts sold for $500 to a lovely couple who had been reading Moby Dick to their two year old son. Perfect!
I am getting ready to do two more quilts for this year's Famous Fictional show. The theme is battles, so I need to show two fictional characters who would normally never meet (from different books, tv shows, etc) fighting! Should be interesting!
